Junior HVAC Installer
Location: Newton, MA (Serving Eastern MA: Boston to Route 495)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $28-$38/hour (Based on Experience)

Job Purpose
As a Junior HVAC Installer, you'll support lead installers on a full range of residential and light commercial projects, learning to handle boilers (hot water heat), split cooling/heat pump systems, furnaces, ductless units, and related distribution/control systems. This role builds toward independent job site management, client/contractor coordination, and high-quality executions that exceed expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installations of heating/cooling systems, including boilers, furnaces, heat pumps, splits, and ductless setups, following manufacturer specs and blueprints.
- Perform minor field fabrication (e.g., sheet metal) and learn brazing/soldering for refrigerant piping and controls.
- Read/interpret wiring schematics, blueprints, and construction docs to ensure precise, code-compliant work.
- Maintain job sites for safety and efficiency, coordinating with clients, contractors, and subs.
- Test systems post-install, handle start-ups, and support troubleshooting/repairs as needed.
- Keep tools in top condition and complete accurate paperwork for seamless project close-outs.
Qualifications
- 1-3+ years of HVAC installation experience (residential/light commercial preferred).
- Basic knowledge of brazing/soldering, schematics, and blueprint reading (willingness to learn required).
- Valid driver's license with clean record.
- EPA 1, 2, or 3 Certification (preferred).
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification (preferred).
- English proficiency for clear communication.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Lift/carry up to 100 lbs regularly.
- Climb ladders, work on rooftops, and navigate confined spaces.
- Stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks in varying weather (indoor/outdoor).

Schedule
