Job Summary:
The Solder Associate must be able to perform solder operations predetermined by the solder department supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out the start-up procedure.
- Understand and execute proper temperature settings, speed settings, valve configuration, and gas mixture settings for all types of metals.
- Understand and check for proper operation.
- Execute all “furnace tender” operations.
- Understand the quality parameters for work exiting the furnace for all metals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous soldering experience
- Excellent hand and eye coordination.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail, organizational abilities, and prioritization understanding.
- Ability to read work tickets, good written and verbal communication.
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time.
