Our client, a specialty healthcare center, is looking for a friendly, caring Medical Assistant to join their team in Portsmouth, NH. If you’re passionate about helping people and want to grow your career in healthcare, we’d love to meet you!
In this role, you’ll be part of a close-knit team that cares for patients. You’ll work alongside doctors, nurses, and care coordinators who truly make a difference every day. We’ll provide training, support, and an environment where kindness and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome and room patients for appointments
- Take vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse)
- Review medications and allergies
- Help patients complete quick health check-ins in our electronic record system
- Assist with lab work and draw blood as needed (we’ll train you!)
- Support the care team with procedures and patient prep
- Keep exam rooms stocked, clean, and ready to go
- Occasionally help with scheduling, scanning, and other simple office tasks
Schedule & Travel
- Monday–Friday, no evenings or major holidays
What We’re Looking For
- A Medical Assistant certificate or degree from an accredited school
- Eligible for (or already have) national certification like CMA, RMA, or CCMA
- Some experience in a healthcare setting is great — but if you’re just starting out and eager to learn, we’re happy to train!
- Basic computer and typing skills, and comfort using an electronic medical record
- Friendly, adaptable, and professional — a team player who brings compassion to every patient interaction
- BLS certification is a plus
