Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacy technician opportunity is available within a closed-door long-term care (LTC) facility in Boston, MA. This contract-to-hire role offers a chance to work on the day shift in a supportive environment focused on providing quality care through efficient medication management.
Responsibilities include preparing medications in appropriate packaging such as blister packs and unit-dose systems to ensure timely delivery to residents. You will assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while carefully monitoring proper storage conditions and expiration dates. Maintaining accurate patient and medication records is essential to support safe and effective pharmaceutical services. The position uses the Frameworks software system, with training provided if needed.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday with shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, along with rotating weekends.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and clear Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred
- Proven experience as a pharmacy technician, particularly in a fast-paced, high-volume setting (approximately 600 prescriptions per day)
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
