SUMMARY OF POSITION
The early childhood educator is responsible for providing high quality care to the children participating in the program and developing a positive working relationship with both children and families.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
● Be familiar with, and follow, the Rules and Regulations set by the NH Childcare Licensing Unit- complete the requirements for teacher qualification according to the NH Childcare Licensing Bureau, fingerprinting, background check, and know and understand the basics of Creative Curriculum and implement its contents within daily planning
● Provide high quality child care to children enrolled in child care program
● Must be able to effectively communicate with other staff
● Must be able to plan and execute high quality curriculum
● Must be able to set a good example to other staff and children.
● Must have the ability to use good judgement and effective problem solving
● Maintain proper administrative paperwork. This includes but is not limited to time sheets, attendance sheets, leave requests, and accident/injury reports.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND LICENSURE
● Must have a minimum of 9 ECE college credits, Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or CDA. One year in a group setting preferred.
● Must have CPR and First Aid certification or obtain it within 30 days of hire
● Must be able to pass all NH child care licensing requirements
