Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time paraprofessional opportunity is available at a high school in Laconia, NH, supporting a 1:1 caseload of a male student on the autism spectrum. This contract position runs through the current school year, Monday to Friday from 7:20 am to 2:30 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to a high school student on the autism spectrum
- Assist the student in navigating classroom activities and assignments
- Foster independence while ensuring instructional support as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet the student's educational goals
- Monitor progress and communicate insights to the educational team
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working as a paraprofessional, preferably in a high school setting
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and strategies to support students
- Ability to work 1:1 with students requiring focused attention
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability in dynamic educational environments
