Are you ready to make a difference in patient care? At Lowell General Hospital, we’re looking for a passionate CT Technologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll perform computed tomography scans that produce vital diagnostic images of patients’ internal organs, bones, and soft tissues. Your expertise will ensure that imaging procedures meet radiological and safety standards while collaborating closely with our dedicated medical staff.

Hours: 40 hours weekly

Location: Saints Campus, with rotations to Main Campus as needed

Job Profile Summary

This role is all about utilizing advanced imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. As a CT Technologist, you will:

  • Utilize CT Scan Technology to provide critical images of internal organs, bones, and soft tissue.
  • Apply your specialized knowledge gained through education, training, and experience.
  • Focus on patient care and scientific/laboratory practices.

Job Overview

In this position, you will:

  • Perform Computed Tomography (CT) scan procedures on assigned patients, adhering to departmental policies and hospital objectives.
  • Ensure all scans meet the American College of Radiology (ACR) imaging standards for accurate diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with various departments to create a seamless healthcare experience.

What You’ll Need

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Radiology or a related field.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT).
  • CT Certification (ARRT) or (NMTCB).
  • Eligibility for Radiologic Technologist state license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare.
  • Background in X-Ray.
  • Previous experience as a CT Technologist.

Your Responsibilities

As a CT Technologist, you will:

  • Perform CT scans on patients according to established policies and standards.
  • Verify patient information and procedures.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients to ensure their comfort and understanding.
  • Administer IV contrast and ensure patient safety during procedures.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills.
  • Maintain equipment quality and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, occasional sitting, walking, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity for operating radiology equipment.
  • Ability to hear and see adequately to perform examinations and monitor equipment.
  • Exposure to bodily fluids and communicable diseases.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of radiologic equipment and procedures.
  • Understanding of radiation safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively.
