Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year to cover a leave of absence at an elementary school located in Plaistow, NH. This contract role is set from February 10, 2025, through June 16, 2026, providing an opportunity to support elementary students with individualized educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to elementary students with disabilities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure inclusive and effective learning environments.
- Conduct assessments, track student progress, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain compliance with state education requirements and school policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New Hampshire Special Education (SPED) license.
- Active teaching license valid in New Hampshire.
- Experience working with elementary age students in a special education setting.
- Ability to work onsite full-time, Monday through Friday, approximately 35 hours per week.
Location:
- Elementary school environment in Plaistow, NH, serving an elementary caseload. Onsite presence is required.
