JOIN OUR TEAM

Summit Training & Fitness is looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing, and personable Fitness Trainer to join our growing team. We’re a community-focused gym that delivers fun, fast-paced, full-body strength and cardio workouts, backed by exercise science and great coaching.

Whether you're an experienced trainer or simply passionate about fitness and people, we provide a comprehensive onboarding and training program to help you succeed.

ABOUT SUMMIT

Summit is a locally owned and operated business and our group fitness sessions combine strength and cardio in a high-energy, supportive environment. We use equipment like weighted sleds, dumbbells, TRX bands, medicine balls, and more. This isn't some cardio microphone fluff class. Our coaching philosophy is built around creating a dynamic, encouraging space where people of all fitness levels feel welcome and challenged.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead and/or assist classes and create a fun, positive training experience.
  • Teach and demonstrate how to properly perform movements.
  • Watch for proper form and technique, offering helpful corrections and encouragement.
  • Build real connections with members and foster a supportive, welcoming gym community.
  • Help members set personal goals and stay accountable.
  • Contribute to keeping the gym clean, organized, and safe for everyone.
  • Perform basic sales procedures to enroll new members.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Career oriented, looking for a career and business to grow with.
  • Outgoing, high-energy personality.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for fitness.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and reliable.
  • Accountable, Coachable, and open to feedback.
  • High School/College sports experience preferred, but not required.
  • Prior coaching, front desk, and/or sales experience within the fitness industry is preferred, but not required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Pass a background check, to ensure a safe, positive environment for our community.
  • The first 90 days serve as an introductory period for both you and Summit to evaluate fit and performance.

COMPENSATION

WE DO NOT PAY BY CLASS OR DIFFERENT PAY RATES!

Pay is a progressive training based system, starting at $18/hr. As you onboard and progress through completed training levels we increase your rate up to $24/hr over the first 4-6 months.

WORKING HOURS

All new hires begin with training hours Monday–Friday, 5am–9:30am. After training, you’ll be assigned to either a morning or evening shift based on business needs.

  • Morning Shift: Mon-Fri, 5AM–9:30AM
  • Evening Shift: Mon-Fri, 5PM–9:30PM

ONBOARDING & CAREER PROGRESSION

We offer a structured, level based training program designed to help you grow. Whether you’re new to coaching or experienced, this process ensures you’re fully equipped to deliver top-tier classes and build strong relationships with members.

During training, you’ll start with scheduled hours focused on training and hands-on learning. As you progress, your coaching hours and pay will increase, with opportunities for bonuses and added responsibilities along the way.
