Job DescriptionWE ARE HIRING PROJECT MANAGER/ESTIMATORPrecision Temperature Control LLC is a top commercial mechanical contractor located in New Hampshire and is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to join our growing team! Main responsibilities include:Job Description:

  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, RFPs, and any other pertinent project related documents necessary to develop a competent and competitive estimate/bid package.
  • Conduct on-site visits to gather information about project conditions and constraints.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Utilize cost databases, historical data, and industry benchmarks to enhance accuracy.
  • Develop comprehensive bid proposals outlining the scope of work, cost breakdown, and any necessary qualifications.
  • Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
  • Identify and assess potential risks that may impact project costs.
  • Propose risk mitigation strategies to ensure the financial success of projects.
  • Manage projects from procurement to completion.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to refine project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure all team members are aligned on cost estimates and project goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Must be able to verbally communicate effectively, as well as written correspondence.
  • Must be able to interpret blueprints and written specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A Strong background in plumbing, HVAC, piping and ductwork.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Attention to detail including interpretation and preparation of spreadsheets and accuracy in cost estimation.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience as an estimator, preferably within the plumbing, HVAC or construction industry.
  • Proven experience working for a mechanical contractor as an Estimator in the construction industry.
