Job Title: Construction Site Superintendent – Building Envelope & Masonry
Location: West Harwich, MA
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Superintendent with expertise in building envelope systems and masonry for a capital exterior improvement project in West Harwich, MA. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 10 years' experience in construction site supervision, specializing in envelope and masonry work, and will have a proven track record of successful project delivery. Familiarity with construction management software, strong organizational skills, and a hands-on leadership style are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring schedule, safety, quality, and budget compliance for building envelope and masonry activities.
- Coordinate and supervise employees, subcontractors, vendors, and labor force to ensure all work meets project plans, standards, and specifications.
- Monitor progress, maintain site records, and report project status to project management.
- Enforce compliance with OSHA standards and company safety programs; ensure OSHA 30 standards are implemented on site at all times.
- Utilize construction management programs for project scheduling, documentation, and communication.
- Lead site safety meetings; promptly address and correct hazardous conditions.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and inspectors to resolve field issues and ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Maintain a secure, organized, and clean worksite.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Superintendent on construction sites specializing in building envelopes and masonry.
- In-depth knowledge of building envelope systems (waterproofing, cladding, roofing, insulation, etc.) and masonry trades.
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Autodesk, MS Project, or similar).
- OSHA 30 Certification (required).
- Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisor License (CSL) (required).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project documentation and site logistics.
Preferred:
- Experience with LEED or sustainable building standards is a plus.
