Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available from February 10, 2025, through June 16, 2026, serving elementary students in a dedicated classroom environment. This leave of absence contract position requires an experienced Special Education Teacher licensed in New Hampshire.
Location: Sandown North Elementary School, Plaistow, NH
Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Caseload: Elementary-level special education students
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
- Providing direct instruction and support to elementary students with disabilities
- Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Maintaining classroom management and fostering an inclusive learning environment
- Monitoring student progress and adapting instructional methods accordingly
Qualifications:
- Active New Hampshire Special Education (SPED) teaching license
- Valid New Hampshire teaching license
- Experience working with elementary-aged special education students preferred
- Ability to work onsite full-time throughout the contract duration
