Job Title: Mechanic
Location: Southbridge, MA 01550
Pay: $26 – $31/hr
Type: Full-Time
Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ year of maintenance experience in wastewater treatment plants or similar equipment
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) certification, or ability to obtain within 3 years
- Proficiency using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
Preferred:
- Front-end loader experience
- Experience working with municipal utility clients
- Strong commitment to safe work practices
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wastewater treatment plants and related equipment
- Maintain buildings, structures, machinery, pumps, valves, and motors
- Lubricate, adjust, and repair equipment to prevent malfunctions and failures
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and implement solutions
- Install and set up new equipment
- Perform plumbing, pipe fitting, and welding tasks as needed
- Clean and paint equipment and facilities
- Keep accurate maintenance records
- Participate in rotating on-call, weekend, and holiday schedule
- Work safely and support the safety and well-being of the team
Additional Requirement: Ability to obtain a Massachusetts Wastewater Operator License.
