Job Description
Job DescriptionEmbark on a transformative journey as a Travel Respiratory Therapist specializing in respiratory care, stationed in the scenic lakeside community of Laconia, New Hampshire. This role blends advanced clinical practice with the opportunity to impact patient lives in meaningful ways, while you discover the region's rich natural beauty—from the tranquil shores of Lake Winnipesaukee to autumn foliage that paints the White Mountains in fiery color. Beginning December 9, 2025, you’ll step into a contract that promises a competitive weekly pay of $1,886 to $1,894, with guaranteed hours of 35 per week for a duration measured in weeks, tailored to staffing needs and your preferences. As you travel, you’ll carry with you the confidence of a structured support system, a clear professional path, and the satisfaction of delivering critical pulmonary care when patients need it most. Your collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams will be supported by modern technology, including digital charting, telemedicine consults, and robust safety protocols.
Working in Laconia means joining a welcoming community that values outdoor recreation, local cuisine, and accessible healthcare. You’ll be based in a location where scenic day trips and four-season activities are part of daily life, from boating on the lake to scenic drives through the White Mountains. And because this is a travel assignment, there is also the exciting possibility of working in additional U.S. locations, expanding your clinical exposure and building a diverse resume. The region offers convenient access to regional hospitals, and you can enjoy a balance of professional immersion with personal time to explore New England’s charms, including the state’s historic towns, farmers markets, and vibrant seasonal events.
Your primary responsibilities as a Respiratory Therapist will center on the assessment and management of patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. You will perform and troubleshoot ventilator management, airway clearance therapies, and airway clearance techniques, conduct arterial blood gas analyses, and assist with weaning protocols. You will monitor patient responses, adjust therapies as ordered, document findings, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other specialists to optimize outcomes. You’ll educate patients and families about home care, infection control, and therapy adherence, while maintaining sterilization and safety protocols and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role offers strong opportunities for professional growth within the respiratory specialty, including exposure to diverse patient populations, complex cases, and the chance to expand critical thinking and leadership skills. In addition to competitive compensation, the position includes a performance-based bonus, housing assistance to ease relocation, and extension opportunities to extend your assignment based on clinical needs and performance. You’ll have access to comprehensive travel support, including 24/7 assistance while you’re on assignment, a dedicated clinical liaison, and proactive onboarding resources to help you adapt quickly and thrive wherever you work.
Our organization is committed to empowering its staff, supporting ongoing career advancement, and fostering a collaborative, respectful work environment. You’ll find strong mentorship, access to continuing education credits, and a culture that recognizes your expertise, values your input, and helps you grow into leadership roles within the respiratory specialty. Whether you’re refining adult critical care skills, expanding into pediatric or neonatal configurations, or pursuing advanced certifications, you’ll have a partner who prioritizes your wellbeing and professional progression.
Are you ready to join a company that values your contribution and investment in patient care? If you’re a dedicated Respiratory Therapist looking to broaden your horizons, elevate your practice, and experience America’s diverse healthcare settings, apply today and start your journey in New Hampshire’s beautiful Lakes Region. The hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
