Job DescriptionDescriptionJob Summary:
Alliance Group is seeking full-time, experienced Controls Installers in North Clarendon, VT to join our growing Building Automation team. This is a field-based position that is responsible for the installation of low voltage building automation systems while demonstrating excellent communication skills and an aptitude for problem solving, time management, and customer service to ensure problems are addressed correctly and systems kept online and functioning.
Key Responsibilities

  • Safely perform electrical installation including, but not limited to, mounting control panels, running conduit, and pulling low voltage wire
  • Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures.
  • Assemble, install, and wire building automation equipment, fixtures, controllers, relays, current detectors, temperature sensors, actuators, etc. using a variety of industry recognized methods with the use of hand or power tools.
  • Safely work with ladders, arial lifts, and a variety of hand tools and power tools
  • Work closely with install crew, office staff, and customer(s) to ensure smooth installation
  • Always wear and maintain all required safety equipment (PPE).
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Adapt to changing work conditions to complete given tasks


Essential Qualifications and Competencies

  • 2 years of experience in building automation (DDC controls, access controls, security systems, or a similar field) required
  • Must be an energetic and enthusiastic collaborative team player.
  • Knowledge of Build-Ops platform desired but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • High level of reliability, follow-through, discretion and integrity.
  • Must possess proactive, positive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and identify inefficiencies in work processes.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis
  • Must be able to climb up and down scaffolding, ladders, stairs as job requires.
  • Must be willing and able to work in occasional in climate weather.
  • Must maintain a company vehicle
  • U.S. citizenship or a current, valid U.S. work permit is mandatory
  • Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
  • A background verification and motor vehicle check will be required.
  • A pre-employment post-offer Human Performance Examination is required for this position.
