Job Summary:The Senior Technical Support Specialist is responsible for resolving technical issues at the desktop level, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems. This role demands excellent customer service skills, strong troubleshooting ability, and the capacity to manage multiple technical tasks simultaneously. The specialist also collaborates with Project Managers to support end-to-end hardware/software upgrades and relocation efforts.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot desktop-level user issues including PC hardware, software, and networking
  • Independently resolve hardware break-fix, application errors, and network connectivity issues
  • Manage TCP/IP setup and network troubleshooting
  • Escalate complex issues to server or application support teams
  • Coordinate with SMEs to resolve concerns in proprietary client applications
  • Assist in destination moves and hardware/software upgrades including client interviews, technical evaluations, requirement gathering, UAT, training, and Day One support
  • Test compatibility of new software with existing systems
  • Assess and enhance system performance by evaluating capacity and workload
  • Recommend and implement system modifications for performance improvement
  • Evaluate third-party software compatibility with internal systems
  • Support hardware/software deployment and configuration
  • Conduct hardware acceptance testing and system rollout
  • Train users and provide ongoing support for hardware/software utilization
  • Document system changes, upgrades, and instructions
  • Safeguard data confidentiality and maintain system security
  • Stay updated on industry best practices by participating in professional development
  • Contribute to team initiatives and cross-functional collaboration
