Working with Adults and/or Couples at a Telepsychotherapy Group Practice

Insights Psychological Services, PLLC is seeking a postdoctoral fellow with a strong interest in psychodynamic theory and learning to apply psychoanalytic principles in a telehealth setting. The ideal candidate enjoys working with high achieving college students, professionals, and/or couples who are insightful, motivated, and ready for deep therapeutic work.

Number of Positions: 1 Position

Type: Full-Time (scheduling 26 clients per week with billing 20-22 clinical hours per week)


Start Date: Monday July 6, 2026 (for 1 year with the possibility of continuing on as an advanced post doc clinician)


Position Description: The training program will be about 35-40 hours per week, with face-to-face clinical hours eventually getting up to approximately 22 billable hours per week, 2 hours of individual supervision, 1 hour of seminar, 1 hour of didactics, 1 hour of peer consultation, .5 hours of staff meeting, ~2 hours of readings per week, ~5.5 hours of note writing per week, and a 1 hour, monthly meeting with the clinical training director.


The clinical or counseling postdoctoral fellow provides relational talk therapy via telehealth to transitional youth (18–25-year-olds), adults (26–60 year-olds), and/or couples (18 years+). Keeping record of concurrent session notes and treatment plans in clients’ chart and independently managing caseload. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years experience working with college students, professionals, and/or couples and utilize a relational approach (e.g., psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, humanistic, and existential). Common presenting concerns will include helping clients with anxiety, low mood, perfectionism, stress, relational trauma, symptoms of PTSD, neurodiverse presentations, communication issues, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and family of origin conflicts.


Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements:

● Graduated with a PhD or PsyD from an APA accredited psychology or counseling program.

● Completed an APA accredited internship for 1-year.

● Is eligible and working toward licensure hours in the state of Massachusetts.

● 3+ years of experience working with transitional youth, adults, and/or couples.

● Experience with/or dedicated interest in psychodynamic psychotherapy.

● Interest or experience in working with high achieving clients.

● Interest in or willingness to participate in presenting cases (using Google slides or Microsoft PowerPoint), participating in team building discussion in staff meetings, and providing a training to colleagues on your specialty or a topic of your interest (e.g., analytic work, trauma work, CBT-I, behavioral medicine techniques, DBT modules and skills, etc.).

● Able to navigate a telehealth EHR system
