Client Overview:
Our client is an established organization in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry focused on maintaining high standards of quality and compliance from development through commercialization. They are now looking for a QC Analyst.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$40/hr - $50/hr
Position Overview:
The QC Analyst supports quality and compliance throughout product development and commercialization. Responsibilities include performing analytical testing, data trending, investigations, and supporting lab operations. The QC Analyst role also involves method transfers, validation, and ensuring project milestones are met to improve QC efficiency.
Responsibilities of the QC Analyst:
- Conduct routine and complex analytical tests for raw materials, in-process samples, product release, and stability studies per SOPs.
- Maintain training records, adhere to schedules, and complete assignments on time to support QC goals.
- Assist with lab equipment upkeep, reagent/sample preparation, and inventory management.
- Submit and review data promptly to ensure availability for decision-making.
- Perform operational tasks such as sampling, environmental monitoring, and product testing.
- Update controlled documents to support compliance and continuous improvement.
- Follow internal policies and regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, GLP, ICH).
- Collaborate with QC and cross-functional teams to support quality objectives.
- Engage in ongoing training to enhance QC and regulatory knowledge.
- Support data verification for regulatory submissions and inspection readiness.
- Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Materials Management, and Quality Assurance teams to meet quality standards.
Required Experience/Skills for the QC Analyst:
- 2+ years in a regulated pharmaceutical/biotech lab, Quality Control, or other relevant regulated lab setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage shifting priorities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the QC Analyst:
- Experience with data analysis to support QC and regulatory activities.
- Familiarity with LIMS and Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel) is a plus.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other related field preferred.
- Associate's degree or equivalent certifications in the sciences is also accepted.
