Job Type: Full-Time

Busek is seeking a Subcontracts Manager to oversee subcontract management activities across our aerospace programs. This mid-level position is ideal for someone with 5+ years of experience in subcontract administration within an aerospace or manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be a key liaison between Busek and its subcontractors, ensuring contract requirements, technical milestones, and program goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between Busek and subcontractors.

  • Develop subcontract specifications, statements of work (SOWs), terms and conditions, and negotiate requirements and scope.

  • Initiate and manage subcontracts throughout the full lifecycle, from the bidding phase through contract completion.

  • Collect and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for Busek programs.

  • Track and report progress on subcontractor milestones, consulting regularly with program management, operations, engineering, and senior leadership.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all subcontract activities; communicate impacts to cost and schedule with program management.

  • Ensure subcontractor deliverables meet Busek's technical, schedule, and cost requirements.

  • Support supplier evaluations and participate in make/buy decisions.

  • Maintain compliance with applicable FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; technical background preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of subcontract management or supply chain experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments.

  • Demonstrated experience negotiating technical subcontracts and managing supplier performance.

  • Strong understanding of contract terms, flowdowns, and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and statements of work.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting government contracts and working with FAR/DFARS requirements.

  • Background in engineering or technical program management.

  • Experience working in a small to mid-sized manufacturing company environment.
