Our client is seeking a hands-on Industrial Operations Manager to lead daily operations at an industrial manufacturing facility in Ayer, MA. This role is responsible for managing automated production systems, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, and driving operational efficiency through data and team leadership.

Responsibilities:
- Direct production activities to meet output, quality, and safety goals.
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance efforts to minimize downtime.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory standards.
- Ensure facility readiness for material intake and timely product delivery.
- Manage special projects focused on efficiency, sustainability, and profitability.
- Analyze performance data and apply LEAN principles to improve processes.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of automated production systems and equipment.
- Coach, schedule, and supervise facility staff to maintain a safe, organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MES, CMMS, and ERP systems used in manufacturing.
- Certifications such as OSHA, Lean Six Sigma, or HAZWOPER are preferred.
- Comfortable working in active, outdoor industrial environments with exposure to the elements.
- Strong knowledge of safety compliance, quality control, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Background in industrial sectors such as recycling, aggregate, quarries, oil and gas, or paper and pulp.
- Full range of physical mobility including walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and manual dexterity.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in engineering or industrial management preferred.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment using automated or computerized processing equipment (e.g., conveyors, PLC-driven machinery, sorting systems, material-handling equipment, packaging lines, etc.)
