As a Pediatric Rehabilitation Aide, you will work under the supervision of licensed therapists (physical, occupational, or speech therapists) to support the care of children with physical, developmental, or neurological challenges. The role combines both clinical support and administrative responsibilities.

Clinical Support Duties

  1. Assist Therapists During Sessions
    • Help position and transfer children safely
    • Prepare materials and equipment for therapy
    • Encourage participation and provide support during exercises
  2. Set Up and Clean Therapy Equipment
    • Sanitize toys, mats, and therapy tools
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy space
  3. Monitor and Support Patients
    • Observe patient responses and report to therapists
    • Offer positive reinforcement to children during activities
  4. Transport Patients
    • Escort or move patients to and from therapy sessions (e.g., from waiting rooms, clinical treatment spaces)


Administrative & Organizational Duties

  • Scheduling and Documentation Support
    • Assist in booking appointments or managing therapy schedules
    • File paperwork and help with intake forms
  • Inventory Management
    • Track and restock therapy supplies and toys
    • Alert supervisor when items need repair or replacement
  • Communication with Families
    • Greet families and provide basic information
    • Relay therapist instructions or updates when appropriate

o Clinic Cleaning
o Assist with maintaining clean restrooms and kitchen areas as needed
o Assist with closing procedures at end of day

Child-Focused Interaction

  • Engage children in age-appropriate play or warm-up activities
  • Offer emotional support and maintain a child-friendly atmosphere
  • Adapt to children with special needs, including non-verbal communication or sensory sensitivities

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all safety and hygiene protocols
  • Understand and assist in infection control practices
  • Report any incidents or unusual behavior immediately

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma
  • CPR Certification
  • Experience working with children or in a healthcare setting
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and support pediatric patients
