An opportunity is available for an experienced registered nurse specializing in progressive care step-down units. This contract position is situated in Nashua, NH, offering a challenging and rewarding environment caring for predominantly cardio-thoracic and vascular surgical patients, along with some medical progressive care cases.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and care for patients requiring telemetry and step-down level attention
- Manage cardiac drips such as dobutamine, dopamine, and Levo in applicable cases
- Handle equipment including IV pumps, telemetry monitors, chest tubes, bladder scanners, and pacing devices
- Perform or assist with procedures such as pericardiocentesis with drain management, thoracentesis, and chest tube insertion
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current RN licensure with specialized experience in progressive care or telemetry units
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and comfort with chest tube care is mandatory
- Preferred experience includes administration of cardiac drips and managing external pacemakers
- Certifications required: ACLS and BLS
Work Schedule:
- Every third weekend work required, no on-call duties
- Stable shift coverage supporting day and night progressive care patients
