Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Finishing/Shipping Foreman to lead and supervise a team of five individuals. This role involves direct work and scheduling responsibilities, requiring mechanical knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with external companies.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise a team of five employees.
- Directly engage in work tasks 50% of the time, with the remaining time dedicated to scheduling.
- Operate machinery and use hand tools confidently.
- Communicate effectively with outside companies to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with the office manager to communicate necessary requirements and materials.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in mechanical operations and troubleshooting.
- Experience with hand tools, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Competency in preventive maintenance and repair.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Knowledge in shipping and receiving processes.
- Prior supervisory or managerial experience.

Work Environment
The position operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with the expectation to work until tasks are completed, potentially up to 45 hours a week. The work environment involves hands-on mechanical tasks, requiring the use of hand tools and machinery.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $34.00/hr.
