Job DescriptionSUMMARY: This position is responsible for inspecting and repairing vehicles, machinery, and
light trucks.
Location: Palmer, MAPay: $35.00/hrShift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with potential overtime
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Inspects and performs maintenance on assigned equipment and facilities including but
not limited to forklifts, warehouse, vehicles, and machinery.
-Performs assigned repairs and maintenance such as tune-ups and oil change, checks
tires and brakes, replaces spark plugs, replace batteries, starters, lights and engages in
other similar tasks. (fabrication)
-Identifies mechanical problems visually and/or with computer diagnostic equipment.
-Performs test on tools and equipment to ensure repairs are completed properly including
test drives.
-Assists in inventory of replacement parts and equipment.
-Assists in maintaining repair log for all equipment.
-Advises supervisor of equipment and facilities malfunctions that may require purchase of
new parts, pieces, or equipment.
-Maintains a clean, safe work area by returning tools to proper location.
-Assist in coaching new hires during the on-boarding process.
-Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Preferred: Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical
school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
-Computer skills required: Time and Labor Management System; and Electronic Mail
Software (Outlook).

-In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
-Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
-Occasionally exposed to the following outside weather conditions: extreme heat and/or
cold, wet and/or humid.
-While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is
usually very loud.
-The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
