An opportunity is available for a skilled Staff Pharmacist to support retail pharmacy operations in Pittsfield, MA. This contract position offers a dynamic role focused on delivering safe and effective medication management within a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities include assessing patient therapies to ensure appropriateness, with particular attention to age-specific modifications and clinical interventions designed to prevent adverse drug events. The pharmacist will engage in clinical research and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives. Maintaining accurate and adequate medication inventory is a critical aspect of the role, along with developing and updating departmental and nursing policies to promote high-quality care.
Key duties:
- Evaluate and monitor patient medication therapies.
- Conduct clinical research and professional growth activities.
- Manage medication inventory and storage.
- Update and revise pharmacy and nursing protocols.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday day shifts.
Qualifications:
- Licensed pharmacist with experience in retail or hospital pharmacy settings.
- Strong clinical knowledge to assess and intervene in patient therapies.
- Ability to oversee medication inventory management efficiently.
- Skilled in policy development and maintaining compliance standards.
This is a contract position starting as soon as possible with an initial duration of 13 weeks or more.
