Alliance Group is seeking an experienced, full-time HVAC Service Technician based in North Clarendon, VT to join our growing Service team.
This is a field-based position responsible for installation, maintenance, and repairs of commercial HVAC/R systems and other related mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of all aspects of our industry, utilizing industry knowledge, skills, and relevant certifications and tools to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot service calls for customers while providing superior customer service. This individual will also participate in the rotational on-call schedule, which includes being on-call for one week at a time. Our Service Techs must demonstrate excellent communication skills, as well as an aptitude for problem solving, time management, and high-level customer service.
Key Responsibilities· Safely perform scheduled preventive maintenance routines.· Read/interpret blueprints and specifications· Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R systems.· Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.· Determine diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations.· Provide exceptional customer service.· Communicate and explain fully to customers current issues and what needs to be corrected.· Identify and report to owner potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services)· Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.· Maintain a clean and organized work environment and company work vehicle.· Must participate in a rotational on-call schedule.
Essential Qualifications and Competencies· 3-5 years of HVAC experience required, commercial preferred.· High School Diploma or GED required· Minimum OSHA 10 Certificate required· Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industry safety standards required.· Universal EPA Certification required· VT/NH Natural Gas license preferred · VT/NH Propane license preferred· NORA Oil License preferred· Mitsubishi / Daikin training desired.· Able to read blueprints and schematics · Knowledge of Build-Ops platform desired but not required.· Strong interpersonal communication skills.· Ability to work efficiently and identify inefficiencies in work processes.· High level of reliability, follow-through, discretion and integrity.· Must possess proactive, positive problem-solving skills.· Must be an energetic and enthusiastic collaborative team player.· Excellent communication skills both written and oral.· Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.· Must maintain a company vehicle.· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis· Must be able to climb up and down scaffolding, ladders, and stairs as job requires.· Must be able to work in inclement conditions occasionally.· U.S. citizenship or a current, valid U.S. work permit is mandatory· Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.· A background verification and motor vehicle check will be required.· A pre-employment post-offer Human Performance Examination is required for this position.
