About the Role: As a HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair residential HVAC systems. You will also be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting systems.

HVAC Service Technician Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues to identify the root cause of malfunctions and recommend effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and identify potential problems after they escalate.
  • Install, repair, or replace components, such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, filters, and ductwork.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate work schedules, prioritize service calls, and efficiently complete assignments.
  • Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns, explaining repair options, and providing recommendations for system improvements.
  • Accurately document service activities, including equipment status, repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance technical skills and knowledge.

HVAC Service Technician Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Residential Service HVAC Technician or similar role.
  • Valid HVAC technician license/certification.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems.
  • Solid knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and workload.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
