Job Description

Job DescriptionStep into a rewarding and impactful role as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery in Plymouth, New Hampshire, where your expertise guides families through one of life’s most remarkable journeys. This opportunity blends clinical excellence with compassionate care, offering you a chance to shape positive birth experiences, support families during prenatal to postpartum transitions, and collaborate with a dedicated obstetric team. In this setting, you’ll bring clinical proficiency, calm leadership, and evidence-based practice to every delivery, ensuring safety, comfort, and exceptional outcomes for mothers and newborns. The beauty of New Hampshire provides a refreshing backdrop to your shift work—seasonal splendor, picturesque towns, and abundant opportunities to recharge in nature. Plymouth sits in a region known for its scenic valleys, nearby lakes, and access to the White Mountains, inviting you to explore outdoor adventures during days off. Whether you’re drawn by a close-knit community feel or the thrill of a dynamic hospital environment, this role pairs purpose with a remarkable living experience.

Location Benefits:
Working in Plymouth, New Hampshire, means embracing a vibrant four-season locale with easy access to outdoor recreation, cultural events, and a welcoming regional spirit. You’ll enjoy a high standard of living, with excellent schools, local farms, and a thriving arts scene that enriches everyday life. The state’s natural beauty—from rolling hills and lakefronts to forested trails—offers a balanced lifestyle that supports resilience and well-being during demanding shifts. For professionals who value flexibility, this opportunity also presents the possibility to work across various locations in the United States, gaining exposure to diverse obstetric settings, patient populations, and hospital cultures. You’ll benefit from a nationwide network that fosters collaboration, shared best practices, and ongoing professional development, enabling you to broaden your clinical competencies while enriching your career journey. The combination of NH's community warmth and the broader travel program creates a compelling pathway to grow as a leader in labor and delivery nursing, all while experiencing the unique charm of New England and broader U.S. landscapes.

Role Specifics and Benefits:
- Responsibilities and growth: As a Labor and Delivery RN, you’ll monitor labor progress, assess fetal well-being, perform routine and emergent clinical interventions, assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, manage epidurals in collaboration with anesthesiology, administer medications, and provide thorough prenatal and postpartum education. You’ll coordinate care with obstetricians, midwives, neonatal teams, and support staff, ensuring seamless, patient-centered experiences. This role offers opportunities to expand your expertise in high-risk OB, neonatal resuscitation, lactation support, and care coordination, strengthening your leadership potential within the specialty.
- Competitive compensation and incentives: Expect weekly pay in the range of $2,432 to $2,661, reflecting the value of your specialized skills and the demanding nature of obstetric care. In addition to competitive pay, the position includes a sign-on bonus and housing assistance to ease relocation and lodging needs. There are extension opportunities aligned with unit demand and your performance, providing a path to longer-term placements if desired.
- Support and flexibility: A comprehensive support structure ensures you’re never navigating challenges alone. You’ll have dedicated travel and clinical support from a 24/7 team, along with a personal travel liaison to handle logistics, orientation, and on-the-ground problem solving. You’ll receive ongoing clinical resources, eligibility for continuing education, and access to certifications that advance your practice. Hours can fluctuate with patient volume, and while guaranteed hours aren’t provided, the travel program prioritizes reliability and consistency through coordinated scheduling.
- Environment and collaboration: You’ll work in a facility that values teamwork, patient advocacy, and evidence-based practice. The unit emphasizes open communication, multidisciplinary rounds, and quality improvement initiatives, fostering a culture where your voice contributes to safer births and enhanced family experiences.

Company Values:
The organization is committed to empowering its nursing professionals through clear career pathways, mentorship, and a supportive, inclusive work environment. You’ll be encouraged to pursue ongoing education, specialty certifications, and leadership opportunities that align with your career goals. The company emphasizes work-life balance, respectful relationships among colleagues, and a patient-first mindset that honors the dignity and autonomy of every family you serve.
