Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a full-time Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to support K-12 students in a public school setting. This contract position is scheduled to begin as soon as possible and runs through June 17, 2026. The role requires an individual committed to delivering specialized instruction onsite, with a weekly schedule of 32.5 hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct educational services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across the K-12 spectrum
  • Develop and implement individualized instructional plans to meet diverse learner needs
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to support student success
  • Manage and adapt teaching strategies based on caseload requirements once finalized
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district policies

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active teaching licensure and certification in New Hampshire specific to Deaf / Hard of Hearing education
  • Proven school-based experience working with this student population
  • Ability to manage a K-12 caseload
  • Completion of district fingerprinting and background checks
  • Availability for a virtual interview via Zoom

Location:

  • Position based onsite, with the worksite to be determined as either Hollis, NH or Brookline, NH.
