- Location: Berlin, VT 05602 (Central Vermont)\n
- Unit: Women and Children’s Unit (Labor & Delivery, Newborn, Postpartum, LDRP)\n
- Contract Length: 6 weeks (Start: 11/20/2025 – End: 1/1/2026)\n
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p), rotating every 2 weeks\n
- Hours per Week: 36\n
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $3150–$3370\n
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend\n
- Call Requirement: 2 x 12-hour call shifts per rolling 2 pay periods\n
- Holiday Requirement: Work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)\n
- Floating: Required as helping hands within the hospital\n
- Orientation: 3 x 12-hour shifts\n
\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
- \n
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Vermont or compact state\n
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) and LDRP experience in a community hospital\n
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)\n
- BLS and NRP certifications (required)\n
- ACLS and PALS (or PEARS) certifications (preferred)\n
- Experience as a baby nurse at delivery: neonatal resuscitation, APGAR scoring, newborn medication administration\n
- Proficient in IV starts, lab draws, and PACU care post C-section\n
- Reliable transportation required (no public transit; all-season or snow tires recommended November–April)\n
\n\nLabor & Delivery RN Responsibilities\n

- Deliver comprehensive care for laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients in an LDRP setting\n
- Independently manage labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care\n
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and immediate newborn care after delivery\n
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document care using Epic EMR\n
- Start IVs, perform lab draws, and provide PACU care for post C-section patients\n
- Float to assist other hospital units as needed\n
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes\n
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (light blue scrubs supplied)\n
