Adecco Staffing is assisting a well-known Medical Device Manufacturing facility in Bedford MA sourcing for a CONTRACT Technical Writer
Pay: $36-45 DOE
Hours: 8 hour shift start time 7am or 8am
JOB SUMMARY:
The Manufacturing Technical Writer Il performs document-related functions, including but not limited to the processing of Engineering Change Orders, as well as maintaining documentation in accordance with ISO 13485 and Instrumentation Laboratory policies and procedures. Under supervision, responsible for writing and illustrating both electronic and hardcopy documentation for product manufacturing, troubleshooting and service manuals, according to industry standard utilizing state of the art desktop publishing tools. Under limited supervision work with development, transfer and manufacturing engineers to generate instrument manufacturing documentation, work instruction, bills of materials and routings.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create precise and clear technical documentation for building, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex products and equipment
- Maintain bills of materials and routings under engineering direction.
- Maintain detailed technical specifications utilizing state of the art desktop publishing tools, 3D CAD, and digital photos, under engineering direction.
- Perform simple calculations using Excel spreadsheets.
- Work with Development and Manufacturing engineers, production managers and operators to obtain the required technical information such as product and module assembly, test and diagnosis techniques.
- Prepare reports and spreadsheets to track material procurements and transfers under engineering supervision.
- Generate engineering Change Orders with Engineering guidance and administrate the approval cycle.
Assist with periodic review of manufacturing documentations.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience as a technical writer or related experience
- Must demonstrate proficiency with a personal computer and MS Office software packages.
-Excellent communication skills and English proficiency o Knowledge of Quality standards (e.g. ISO 13485)
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Self- motivated and adaptable to change o Must be highly organized and detail oriented

Pay Details: $48.00 to $57.00 per hour
