HVAC/R PARTS RUNNER
Department: Shipping and Receiving
Reports to: Safety Operations
Job Description/Qualifications:
The runner is responsible for making deliveries to technicians, picking up materials and performing shop related tasks when needed
Pick up and safe delivery of a variety of parts and equipment
Warehouse and grounds maintenance (including but not limited to snow removal)
Assistance with receiving deliveries to shop
Assistance with sheet metal fabrication
Shop-related tasks, including but not limited to, inventory and organization
Equipment breakdown and recycling
Able to be forklift certified
Reliable, hard working and eager
Strong initiative and ability to handle increasing responsibility over time
Excellent time management and organization skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule ( early start or later start)
Strong attention to detail
Requirements:
License Required:
Valid Driver’s License and able to hold a DOT certification.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting an average of 50+ lbs on a daily basis
Climbing ladders and stairs
Bending, stooping, kneeling, sitting, standing, walking and driving for extended periods of time
Comfortable being exposed to different weather conditions
Operation of motor vehicles including van, rack truck, box truck and forklift
Ability to operate power and/or hand tools
Ability to handle frequent loud noises
Ability to accept & meet deadlines
Other:
An individual must show a willingness to continue to develop skills in the Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC/R trade as part of the continued learning process. Must show strong teamwork skills and also be capable of working independently.
