Wright Technical Services is supporting a client in the advanced materials space in search of an experienced Contract Project Manager to oversee manufacturing activities, including capital projects, site consolidations, and equipment moves.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for successful project execution.
- Monitor and adjust project progress to ensure on-time completion.
- Manage capital projects from inception to completion, adhering to budget and schedule.
- Oversee procurement and installation of new equipment and technology.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Plan and execute site consolidation projects, including relocating operations and staff.
- Develop strategies to minimize disruption and ensure operational continuity.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for smooth transitions.
- Plan and manage the relocation of manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure proper decommissioning, transportation, and reinstallation of equipment.
- Work with vendors and contractors to ensure timely equipment moves.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain regular updates with stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
- Facilitate meetings and presentations to keep stakeholders engaged.
- Address and resolve concerns raised by stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans and reports.
- Prepare regular status reports for senior management.
- Archive all project documentation upon completion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related field.
- PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- 8+ years of project management experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience managing capital projects, site consolidations, and equipment moves.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, construction methodologies, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical documents and project blueprints.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office Suite.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Experience in a contract or consulting capacity.
