Requirements:

• 5 or more years of experience with Mainframe IMS database administration for applications.
• Proficiency in z/OS operating system and related utilities (TSO, SDSF, SYSVIEW).
• Experience with IMS Database Recovery Control (DBRC) and forward recovery processes.
• Experience in performance monitoring, tuning, and backup/recovery of IMS databases.
• Experience developing and troubleshooting complex JCL (Job Control Language).
• Experience with CICS, VSAM, and TSO in a mainframe environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert DBA support for mainframe IMS application databases across environments.
• Lead performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting for IMS database systems.
• Manage IMS database backup and recovery strategies and procedures.
• Oversee routine system administration and security monitoring functions.
• Coordinate testing and deployment of mainframe software upgrades and DR plans.
• Maintain mainframe production control and job scheduling systems.
• Offer technical guidance to application development and operations teams.
