Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg/Telemetry with Charge Experience – Vermont

Start Date: February 16, 2026
Location: Vermont
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 25-bed adaptive acuity unit; every other weekend and holiday coverage as required

Highlights:

• Adaptive acuity environment with occasional Progressive Care Unit (PCU) responsibilities at a 3:1 ratio
• Charge nurse duties required as part of this assignment
• Drip experience utilized regularly in patient care
• Opportunity to work in a smaller, critical access facility setting
• Float coverage within scope of practice to other inpatient units as needed
• 13-week contract with no non-billable orientation

Requirements:

• Active Vermont RN license or multistate Compact license
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of current Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
• Charge nurse experience required
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience strongly required
• Drip experience required
• Minimum 3 months of previous travel nursing experience (non-negotiable)
• ICU experience strongly preferred
• Willingness to float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice
• Must have reliable personal vehicle
• Current skills checklists for PCU, Med-Surg, and Telemetry (within 1 year)
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years
