Join our Rental Assistance team dedicated to helping people attain quality, affordable housing in New Hampshire!
We’re hiring a full-time Rental Assistance Manager, for our Assisted Housing Division.
You will:
- Determine eligibility in accordance with HUD regulations and NH Housing Administrative Plan for program participants.
- Allocate approximately $5 million annually in HAP subsidy on behalf of NH Housing.
- Administer HUD regulations and NH Housing’s Administrative Plan including all regulations and policies pertaining to the following programs: Housing Choice Voucher (HCV), Moderate Rehabilitation, Project Based Voucher (PBV), Mainstream, Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH), Homeownership option, Family Unification Program (FUP), Foster Youth to Independence (FYI), and other special purpose vouchers.
- Educate owners and participants regarding program guidelines in the HCV, PBV, VASH, Homeownership, Moderate Rehabilitation, FUP, FYI, and other special purpose vouchers.
- Interpret legal documents and help find available housing units for participants.
What’s required?
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to understand and interpret federal regulations and state laws.
- Experience in Human Services.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
- Proficiency in speaking an additional language is beneficial.
- Experience with Yardi is preferred.
- At least five years' relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.

Starting Pay: $53,354 - $65,405 depending on relevant experience
