Duties
What would I do as a Sensations in Learning, Next Gen Teacher?
- Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by modifying classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Implement individual and group activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
- Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.

- Help in our gardens and support young students in each step of the growing process, harvesting, and the delivery of food to the Williston Food Shelf
- Go sledding
- Take walks every day around the community
- Explore outside, every day, and have picnics as the daily norm!
- Teacher young children about plants, bugs, and how to care for our environment...Including composting!
Requirements
What qualifications do I need to work at Sensations in Learning, a Next Gen program?
- 1 year preferred professional child care experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Basic technology skills or ability to learn easily
- High energy with the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, kneel, bend, squat, and crawl
- Talk to and hear voices at many levels
- See up close and up to a certain distance, see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception
- Ability to work well with others (teachers, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
- A basic understanding of child development or eagerness to learn
- Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification within 2 weeks of hire
- Must clear a full background check
- High School Diploma/GED or significant college credit in early childhood education or related field of study.
Nice To Haves
-An interest/background in nature-based education.
