Description: Historic New England seeks part-time Guides to work at Winslow Crocker House for the 2025 season. Guides will conduct tours for a varied range of visitors, both in age and interest; assist with daily museum operations including tour admissions, bookkeeping, cleaning, and opening and closing. In 1936, Mary Thacher had the c.1780 Winslow Crocker House moved six miles down Old Kings Highway and relocated next door to her ancestral home. She remodeled the interior to provide an attractive backdrop to the significant collection of antique furniture she built over her lifetime. Tour themes include Winslow Crocker House in the 18th and 20th centuries and the changing face of Cape Cod in the 1930s. Training is provided.
Qualifications: Applicants should enjoy working with the public, have excellent communication skills, have an interest in inclusive history, and be comfortable working with computers. Experience in customer service desirable. Must be available on weekend days, have a flexible schedule, and commit to employment through the end of the 2025 season, June - October.
