Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An experienced Cardiac Sonographer is sought for a contract role in Springfield, MA. This position requires proficiency in operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment specifically for cardiac imaging, including M-Mode, 2-D, color, Doppler, exercise testing, and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience and be ready to contribute immediately in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound exams, including transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), stress echo, and TEE.
- Utilize Philips ultrasound equipment for imaging procedures.
- Conduct bubble studies using Lumason contrast agent.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and follow established departmental policies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure quality imaging standards.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Associate degree in radiology or an equivalent certification.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Minimum of five years experience in cardiac ultrasound required.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records is a strong plus.
- Ability to start IVs considered an advantage.
- Must be skilled in transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and stress echo procedures.
