Are you a seasoned Facilities Technician with a passion for problem-solving and a knack for maintaining complex systems? We are seeking an experienced Permanent Facilities Technician to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is a day shift position, offering the chance to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our facility's systems, ensuring optimal operations and safety at all times.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Facilities Technician, your core duties will include:
1. Overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of all facility systems, including but not limited to, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
2. Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on boilers and other equipment to ensure efficient operation.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in facility systems and equipment.
4. Adhering to safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe and secure work environment.
5. Managing inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
6. Coordinating with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations.
7. Documenting all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring accurate records are kept.
8. Providing technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
9. Participating in the development and implementation of facility management policies and procedures.
10. Responding promptly to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Facilities Technician in the engineering industry or a related field.
2. Proven experience with boilers and other complex facility systems.
3. A degree or certification in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
4. Strong technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment and systems.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in clear, understandable terms.
8. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the engineering industry.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
10. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and supplies.
