Crane Mechanic – Flaherty Equipment Repair
Chelmsford, MA | Full-Time
Flaherty Equipment Repair is seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Crane Mechanic. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with a well-respected, family-owned crane dealership serving all of New England.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and related mechanical issues
- Perform preventative maintenance on both customer-owned and rental equipment
- Work efficiently and independently to minimize customer downtime
- Interpret and troubleshoot using electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Safely operate and repair various types of lifting equipment
- Welding and fabrication (a strong plus)
Requirements:
- Mechanical background with experience in hydraulics and/or heavy equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Able to lift 50+ pounds and comfortably climb on large equipment
- Possess basic hand tools (specialty tools provided)
- Welding/fabrication skills are a bonus
