Job DescriptionSalary:

The Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for product and process quality through implementation of Quality Programs, systems and process improvements. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills who is proficient in utilizing quality tools to solve problems and drive continuous improvement efforts. This position is responsible for the following:

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in the support and improvement of the Companys current ISO9001 QMS.
  • Assist with preparation and reporting of Quality Management Review
  • Participate in Quality System Audits to the current ISO9001 standard
  • Support Document Control activities
  • Provide applicable ISO training to new employees, and when changes occur to applicable ISO core documents.
  • Liaise with customers with quality related issues (complaints, surveys, certifications, etc.)
  • Lead efforts to continuously improve QMS processes, manufacturing product yields, as well as reduce customer complaints and aftermarket Incidents (Non-conformances).
  • Lead KAIZEN, or other continuous improvement projects to support business objectives.
  • Participate / facilitate teams to identify and implement improvements and permanent corrective actions.
  • Facilitate the creation and successful execution of Control Plans and Quality Plans
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data/nonconformances, using statistical analysis methods to drive quality improvements. Quickly escalate important insights to Operations.
  • Assist with validation efforts of new suppliers; qualification of new parts; and the on-going surveillance activities (audits/surveys) for critical suppliers.
  • Lead/support supplier issues and corrective action; follow up activities; and the development and improvement capabilities to drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor key supplier performance by analysis of production line statistics, field data, inspections, and audits.
  • Develop effective measurement systems and quality inspection methods to ensure all manufactured components meet quality requirements.
  • Administer/participate in MRB activities related to supplier and production non-conformances.
  • Champion applicable customer complaints.
  • Provide sound problem-solving methodologies in identification, communication and resolution to quality issues.
  • Review/approve changes to engineering drawings and documents through the ECN process and take applicable actions in areas of responsibility.
  • Support incoming inspection and outgoing inspection activities as needed.
  • Oversee Calibration program

Education and Experience:

  • BS Degree in Engineering (EE, ME, IE); other technical degree considered with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of Quality Assurance/Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment within a Quality Department or similar related experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of current ISO 9001 QMS standard
  • Good project management skills with ability to manage time & set priorities
  • Strong problem solving, facilitation and analytical abilities.
  • Possess technical skills and knowledge of quality control systems in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize


Desired Skills:

  • Certified Six Sigma Black or Green Belt
  • ASQ Certifications (CQA, CQE, etc.)
  • Proficient in principles of Root Cause Analysis
  • Familiarity with APQQ, PPAPs, Control plans, FMEAs, capability studies, GR&R
  • Experience using Minitab or JMP, MS Excel (including VBA), MS Visio


We offer full benefits and competitive compensation.

Salary range: $70,500 - $117,500 depending on experience
