About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to join the Product team on a 6-month contract basis. In this role, you'll help create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation that enhances the user experience and delights our customers.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: We’re looking for someone based in the Eastern Time Zone. This role is hybrid for those near our Boston HQ, or remote if you’re located in EST.
At this time, we’re not considering candidates outside of EST (including CST, MST, or PST).
What You'll Do:

Improve existing documentation to ensure accuracy and clarity

Create documentation for new platform features and updates

Copy-edit documentation pull requests from other team members

Collaborate with product managers and engineers to validate technical accuracy

Identify and address documentation gaps

Maintain documentation using a GitHub-based workflow

Use Jira to track documentation requests from internal and external stakeholders
What You'll Need:

5+ years of technical writing experience

Ability to understand complex technical concepts and explain them clearly

Experience with docs-as-code tools, including Git, pull requests, and Markdown

Proven experience documenting cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong project management and organizational skills
Bonus points if you have experience with ReadMe.com, static site generators, documenting APIs using OpenAPI specifications, and working with remote teams — especially if you’re also familiar with FinOps concepts.
