Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school setting located in Florence, MA. This full-time contract position focuses on supporting students with significant cognitive and physical disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum and non-verbal students. Candidates will be responsible for delivering specially designed instruction in Sub Separate Classrooms for grades K-1 and 3-5.

Responsibilities include:

Managing a caseload within Sub Separate Classrooms, providing tailored education and support
Assisting with toileting and other physical needs for students with severe disabilities
Collaborating with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) assigned to some students
Implementing applied behavior analysis strategies and specially designed instruction to meet individual student needs

Qualifications and desired experience:

Valid Special Education teaching certification
Experience working with students with significant cognitive and physical disabilities
Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques
Background in delivering specially designed instruction in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Ability to provide physical care support, including toileting assistance
