About the Role:
Pine Haven Boys Center is set on just over 100 acres located 10 minutes south of Concord and 15 minutes north of Manchester.

Pine Haven is a private, non-profit, non-sectarian, intensive residential and educational facility that cares for boys ages 6–13 who face behavioral, emotional, and academic challenges due to trauma and neglect.

We are seeking individuals interested in pursuing or advancing a career in the Human Services or Education field. This unique, dual-role position supports students both in the classroom and in the residential setting. The ideal candidate is nurturing, trauma-informed, and passionate about helping children grow academically, emotionally, and socially.

Distinguishing Characteristics:
Pine Haven is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Integrated Behavioral Technician to join our team in Allenstown, NH. This position blends classroom support and residential care, working closely with students during the school day and in the residential program during afternoons and evenings. The right candidate will be calm under pressure, consistent in their approach, and committed to creating a structured and therapeutic environment where boys can succeed and heal.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic & School-Based Support (Daytime):

  • Assist teachers with instruction and classroom management.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups to support students with behavioral and emotional needs.
  • Implement behavior plans, IEP accommodations, and de-escalation strategies.
  • Track and document student progress and behaviors throughout the school day.
  • Help with transitions and routines, modeling appropriate social skills.

Residential & Therapeutic Support (Afternoon/Evening):

  • Supervise and support students in the residential setting.
  • Model and teach life skills, such as hygiene, responsibility, and cooperation.
  • Participate in group activities, games, and structured therapeutic recreation.
  • Maintain consistency in evening routines and bedtime support.
  • Assist with behavioral interventions and crisis management as needed.
  • Write shift reports and communicate observations with the treatment team.

Working with Families:

  • Welcome families and recognize their role and interest in their children.
  • Be open to families’ feedback, concern and expectations.
  • Share with families their children's successes and achievements.
  • Rely on family expertise and knowledge.
  • Remind residents to call and to write to their families.
  • Supervise siblings and provide transportation on occasion.

In This Position, the Right Candidate Must Be Willing To:

  • Build therapeutic relationships using empathy and consistency.
  • Develop skills in behavioral support, de-escalation, and trauma-informed care.
  • Be part of interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute insight to treatment planning.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical and legal reporting standards.
  • Complete CPI and RBT training (if not already certified).
  • Stay current in the field through ongoing professional development.

Schedule:

  • Two rotating schedules: Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday.
  • Weekday hours typically 8:00am–10:00pm (with break coverage).
  • Weekend hours may be 8:00am–10:00pm.
  • Holidays and school vacations follow residential coverage model.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Associate’s degree with 12 credits in human services or related field preferred.
  • Experience working with children in therapeutic or educational settings preferred.
  • Must be physically able to implement therapeutic crisis interventions.
  • Ability to complete certifications in CPI, First Aid, and CPR.

Compensation:

  • We pay generous wages, above market rates for the impact the staff makes on the clients served. Pay: $23.70 per hour.
