Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
\n
• Work on a 23-bed Med-Surg Cardiac Medical Unit with 1 treatment room
\n• Patient ratios: Days/Evenings RNs (1:4), Nights (1:5)
\n• Every other weekend schedule required
\n• Floating within alike areas when needed
\n• Required to wear hospital scrubs
\n• Work with telemetry monitoring equipment, some rooms hard-wired
\n• Use vein finder for IV therapy, portable and continuous pulse oximetry
\n• Operate manual/automatic vital sign machines, blood glucose monitors, mechanical lifts, and dopplers
\n• Work with Allscripts EMR system with medication scanning capabilities
\n• Care for cardiac medical patients including hemodynamically stable MI, acute/chronic heart failure, new onset AFib
\n• Handle procedural patients including cardiac catheterizations, ablations, cardioversions, ICD and pacemaker patients
\n• Administer cardiac drips including Amio, Diltiazem, renal dose Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Lasix, and insulin drips
\n• Must have cardiac telemetry knowledge and ACLS certification
\n• Must have knowledge/skill set for cardiac medical and procedural patients
\n• Preferred candidates have strong medical-surgical background with telemetry experience
\n• Must be engaging, team-oriented, flexible/adaptable, and patient-centered
