Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong electromechanical background to join our team. This position is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on equipment and systems across our production facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, including motors, PLCs, conveyors, sensors, and control panels.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment diagrams.
- Repair and replace defective parts, wiring, or control devices.
- Calibrate and test equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Assist in equipment installation and upgrades as needed.
- Log all maintenance activities in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electromechanics, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance with an electromechanical focus.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems (up to 480V), PLC troubleshooting, and mechanical repair.
- Ability to work from heights, in confined spaces, and on rotating shifts if required.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated production environments.
- Proficient in working with Allen-Bradley programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Hands-on experience with RS Logix 500 and RS Logix 5000/Studio 5000 programming environments.
- Capable of editing ladder logic, Add-On Instructions (AOIs), and Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control loops.
- Skilled in configuring and troubleshooting Ethernet/IP networks for equipment communication.
- Competent in programming and integrating VFDs and servo systems.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills to support equipment modifications and repairs.
