About this Opportunity:

The Maintenance Mechanic III is responsible for the daily operations within the facility, including maintenance to CNC Swiss Machines and CNC Milling Machines along with facilities equipment. This role involves working both inside and outside the building, ordering and maintaining parts and supplies, overseeing contractors, and scheduling maintenance repairs. The mechanic will also upgrade systems such as mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and steam. They will assist the EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) team with issues, concerns, and safety modifications. The mechanic is expected to prioritize daily tasks independently and actively support and participate in 5S, High Performance Teams, and LEAN strategies.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform maintenance of all equipment and facilities
  • Oversee contractors who perform maintenance and repair equipment.
  • Schedule maintenance repairs.
  • Supporting Manufacturing Swiss CNC troubleshooting
  • Assist EHS with issues, concerns, and equipment safety modifications.
  • Prioritize daily tasks and make changes to priorities independently.
  • Actively support and participate with 5S, High Performance Teams, and LEAN strategies.
  • Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately and on time.
  • Communicate well between departments, to notify leaders and engineers to problem solve issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all machines.
  • Use appropriate PPE for designated area.
  • Other duties may be assigned.



Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship or have U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to perform basic math, reading, writing and computer skills such as basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and use of Microsoft Office.
  • Personal/ Soft skills: Must Demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written English. communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Relevant Work Experience: 8+ years of experience as a mechanic in a Machine shop environment
  • Facilities Maintenance certification from an accredited trade school preferred.
