Position Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will play a hands-on, multifaceted role in the design, assembly, and deployment of custom thermal processing systems. This position provides the opportunity to participate in the full equipment lifecycle—from CAD design and manufacturing support to customer installation and process troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
• Design custom vacuum furnace systems, gas handling layouts, and electro-mechanical assemblies
• Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD
• Develop P&ID diagrams and process control schematics
• Select instrumentation and design control system layouts
Field Service & Customer Support
• Travel to customer sites to assist with system installation, startup, commissioning, and training
• Provide technical support and process troubleshooting post-installation
Qualifications
• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline
• Experience with high-temperature vacuum furnaces or materials processing systems
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience with industrial equipment (internships/co-ops accepted)
• Mechanical aptitude and experience assembling or working with machinery
• Proficiency with 3D CAD (Inventor or SolidWorks) and 2D drafting (AutoCAD)
• Familiarity with process instrumentation, controls, and P&ID drawings
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers and suppliers
• Willingness to travel 10–20% (domestic and international)
