Robert Half Legal Permanent Placement is looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant with business litigation to join our client's team in Worcester. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while supporting attorneys with their daily responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion. Hybrid 1-day WFH.
Responsibilities:
• Handle administrative tasks for attorneys, including managing correspondence, scanning mail, and preparing legal documents and filings.
• Organize and maintain attorney calendars in Microsoft Outlook, ensuring scheduling conflicts are resolved and meetings, travel arrangements, and agendas are coordinated seamlessly.
• Track and manage attorney timekeeping and billing processes, reviewing and revising monthly invoices in collaboration with the billing department.
• Maintain and organize both paper and electronic records, ensuring proper filing, retrieval, and secure storage.
• Oversee client fee agreements by obtaining necessary signatures and distributing executed copies to relevant parties.
• Draft and proofread a variety of materials, including letters, memos, reports, and legal documents.
• Submit and manage expense reports using the Chrome River system.
• Coordinate food orders and assist with facilities-related tasks as need
• Proven experience in legal administrative support or a similar role.
• Proficiency in e-Filing and familiarity with legal procedures and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook for calendar management and scheduling.
• Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to draft, proofread, and edit various legal documents and correspondence.
• Familiarity with timekeeping and billing processes within a legal environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and other staff.
• Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
